Terms of Service

1) About SitStayFind

We provide an online directory of pet-service listings (e.g., dog walkers, sitters, groomers). We are not a party to agreements between customers and service providers unless explicitly stated.

2) Eligibility and accounts

You must:

  • be at least 18 years old to create an account,

  • provide accurate information and keep it updated,

  • keep your login credentials secure,

  • be responsible for activity on your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

3) Listings and user content

When you submit content (listing text, images, etc.), you confirm:

  • you have the right to post it,

  • it is accurate and not misleading,

  • it does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights,

  • it is not illegal, hateful, abusive, or deceptive.

Licence: You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content for the purposes of operating and promoting the directory.

We may edit, moderate, reject, or remove listings/content at our discretion (including for quality, policy, or legal reasons).

4) Premium listings, ads, and ranking

We may offer paid plans or premium placement (including “Premium” badges, featured slots, or “ad-style” placement). Premium placement does not constitute endorsement.

Search order and visibility may depend on factors like relevance, location, category, user settings, and paid features.

5) No guarantees; service provider responsibility

We do not guarantee:

  • the accuracy of listings,

  • the quality, safety, licensing, insurance, or background checks of any provider,

  • that a provider will be available or deliver services as described.

You are responsible for performing your own checks before hiring any service (references, insurance, certifications, etc.).

6) Payments, plans, renewals, and cancellation (if applicable)

If you purchase a plan:

  • prices and billing frequency are shown at checkout,

  • payments are processed by our payment provider(s),

  • plans may renew automatically unless cancelled (where applicable),

  • cancellation takes effect as described at purchase (e.g., at end of billing period),

  • refunds are provided only where required by law or explicitly stated.

Important: If you want your listing to remain visible without a paid plan, you may be able to downgrade to a free plan (if available). Removing a listing may delete it from public view.

7) Prohibited activities

You must not:

  • submit false or misleading listings,

  • scrape or harvest data from the site,

  • attempt to bypass security or access restricted areas,

  • upload malware or harmful code,

  • spam users or send unsolicited promotions,

  • impersonate others.

8) Intellectual property

All site content (branding, text, design, software) belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it without permission, except as allowed by law.

9) Disclaimers

The site and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not provide veterinary or medical advice.

10) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for loss or damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on listings,

  • we are not liable for disputes, injuries, or damages arising from arrangements between customers and providers,

  • our total liability is limited to [the amount you paid in the last 12 months / £X], except where not permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death/personal injury caused by negligence, or other liabilities that cannot be excluded under law.

11) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims and expenses arising from your content, your use of the site, or your breach of these Terms.

12) Termination

You may stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required for legal/safety reasons.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland  Courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive (or non-exclusive) jurisdiction.

14) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We’ll post updates and revise the effective date. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms.
